Advice on contract vs PAYG

I am currently in a contract with 3 - I pay £25-30 per month for 700 texts or minutes and unlimited internet (which is £5 per month). I don't use even 100 minutes or texts but I do check my email & use the internet regularly.
As my contract is coming to an end in October I would really like to look around for something cheaper and I am wondering if PAYG is a better option for me since I use my phone so little.

Also - I am planning to move abroad eventually (might well be within 24 months but could take longer) so I am a little concerned about taking on another contract phone.

Any suggestions?

If i were you i would look at the T-Mobile sim only tariffs, so you get more of a benifit than PAYG but limited to 30 day contract. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/sim-only/tariffs/

Either the £10 a month + internet booster, or £15 + internet boost if you need higher allowences.

Contracts suit high users better than low users. Add to the fact you maybe moving away value is going to be on 30 day rolling for you.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
  • That was helpful, unfortunately, after further investigation, it looks like 3 is the best network for me as none of the others have 3G coverage in my area.
