Thank you to all who have replied although i'm still confused as there are conflicting answers. And in answer to the question, "how can i afford to go away" this holiday was booked and paid for when i was working, unfortunately i was made redundant!!

Are you going on holiday overseas or in the UK? Would you be willing to cut short your holiday and travel home within a day if you were offered an interview?

In that case you will need to suspend your claim whilst you are away, you will not be paid for your period of absence. You can do a rapid reclaim when you return.

The holiday was booked ages ago, however i am away between sign on dates, but im approaching week 13 which means i have to see an advisor every week, for 6 weeks i think and this will clash with when im away, im more worried about my mortgage payments.

Your mortgage interest payments would stop for those weeks as they are part of your JSA.

is it only for the 10 days im away, or would i have to wait another 13 weeks before receiving int payments?

It would only be for the time you are away. There is a linking provision that means you do not have to wait another 13 weeks to qualify for SMI payments. The linking provision applies if you reclaim JSA within 12 weeks of a claim ending
