You may leave your home district but not go abroad. You must remain available for work, but may be excused from seeking work if you inform your employment officer in advance0 -

You do not sign off before going on holiday. You sign on on the day before you leave and again after you return. You will get jsa while on holiday.0 -

We do not advocate fraud on MSE.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Why is it that someone on JSA can afford a holiday, but those who work full time to pay their own bills can not? How very annoying.0

The person might be receiving contribution based JSA and have a partner/spouse who works full time with a good wage.
They may also have recently come out of work and still have some savings or someone else maybe paying.
In other words we don't know enough about this person's circumstances to make any judgements.0 -

Holidays aren't always that expensive. I had to go away for a few days whilst on JSA and made sure it didn't clash with signing on. I spoke to the people at JCP and filled a form in.
I later found out because it was related to job hunting, (kind of - it was a disabled students' allowance assessment for uni) I didn't have to actually fill the orm in, or something.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
