Apart from here and a couple of other sites (digg, huffington post, lifehacker etc) i never really know what else to do. I sit staring at the screen and my mind goes blank.

What other interesting things do you do on the internet? Any good blogs/sites you visit

(keep it clean - no one wants to hear about your depraved sexual fantasy websites thank you all the same)

    Well done Nuno. Decent list.
Every few months somebody comes up with one of these, but then it slips down the list.

Unfortunately you're on the "Naomi Campbell Forum" where people wallow in their own self-importance.

The only problem I had with the list is the OP posted it without having an actual clue about the content. ANYONE could do that, but it might do more harm than good (ie, the firewalls, one of which is about 4 years out of date! It would be far safer to stick with windows own firewall)

I felt the need to point out to anyone reading the list that not all of them are to be recommended. If anyone here feels we should just all randomly pull things off the net and post them without having a clue please speak up now..............

  • By the OP's own admission they didn't bother checking the links to see if they were valid which would only take a few minutes to do. Hard to muster a large amount of praise for something that obviously doesn't deserve it.
  • - C for lack of effort and no cigar is a fair refection of the O/P's post
    - someone should put up a website with up~to~date versions 0ooop's
    - or use the filehippo site
    - even though the two sites linked above are sound, people should first check here for up~to~date advice

Chunter and others should look a ' nuno's ' history of similar clangers, where [ quote : ""I sit staring at the screen and my mind goes blank "" ] with nothing better to do they chuck an OOD list into a technical group to be picked up and tried by unsuspecting people.

It [ the O/P's #1 ] needed challenging, it was taken to task, and it was the right thing to do.

    - - interesting that !, chunter has admitted trolling [ "" do what i do, dip in, annoy them and leave for a few weeks. Works a treat "" ] on an open forum.

I'm sure the regulars will remember your post when you next come asking for advice.

Also from what I've seen, the techie forum is generally the least obsessed with post count/thanks ratios.

Dammit, sorry Richie, I've just thrown him/her/it a titbit. :D
    Move along, nothing to see.
