My hubby opened a 2 year fixed rate bond with Cheshire Building Society today. Just thought I would let everyone know that he could just open it over the counter, no appointment needed and no hassle. Refreshing and very efficient customer service. May be useful info if anyone was thinking of opening a branch based F R bond with them.:j

Good glad you had same experience as my husband. Yet again, Shamtander have failed a customer. Cheshire deserved the business IMHO, the other lot must have so much money that they dont need any more!0

I opened a Regular Saver with them last month.
The service was excellent.
Phoned the local branch that morning and they told me to pop in and they would have no problem opening the account for me.
No hassle, 20 questions or hard sell. It was a refreshing change.0 -
Looking good for the Cheshire!:beer::beer:0

I am glad Cheshire currently give good service. I would not count on Nationwide's senior management keeping it that way.0
