If you're ripping those CDs to load into iTunes, it's converting them to mp3 or mp4 format.
Check that you've not got the bitrate set too high, that would make it take a long time to convert.
Firstly iTunes is using AAC and secondly the higher the bitrate the quicker it should be to convert. But if the software the OP is using can convert while it is ripping then it shouldn't matter as the ripping will take longer than the conversion anyway in most cases...0 -
