me too. said there would be three tries at my address friday saturday and monday. then order would be cancelled. so not planning to be out!

"I've just got off the phone to Argos. Call centre person was pretty much in the dark, but I got some fairly definitive answers from her manager (whether true or not I can't vouch).

They were expecting 22,000 units on Friday and will receive only 18,000.

They blamed Nintendo strongly by name. They say other retailers will be affected too.

Allocation is according to location not date of order.

5 distribution depots are affected: Swindon, Notts, Preston, Warrington and one other which she was unsure of. (I'm in London and have had mine cancelled so not sure what to make of this).

They are expecting all orders to be fulfilled in the next two weeks - but she could not 'guarantee' they'd all be fulfilled before Christmas.

They're sending me some gift vouchers.

Got an message from Woolworths as I asked why my Wii hasnt got the dispatched status yet.

Basically everyone whose Wii's status isnt ready to be dispatched/dispatched/fufilled wont be getting a Wii for release. The message said they HOPE to get all the pre-ordered Wii's out before christmas. Get complaining.

I assume Currys.co.uk will be the same as they are part of the same company. I haven't heard from Currys anyway.

On another point, has anyone ordered games from Gamestation.co.uk? I ordered 4 games (pre-owned) last wednesday and after a couple days, I received an email saying that they were processing my order. I haven't heard from them since. Should it take this long to process? I've never bought pre-owned items before so is this normal practice?

i phoned woolies today about my order and they said they hoped i could get it on friday - only ordered nov 21st.

i think now i will believe it when i see it

Just been told by woolies not getting mine Friday but hopefully before xmas. Mumble

They said Nintendo had delayed the allocation of wii's to them hence the delay.

Well the confirmation email I had from play it said I was getting one on release day but wasn't worth the email it was printed in....got a phone call today to say won't be getting one now, that they will try to get me one before Christmas though. Told them not to bother. I pre ordered on the first day (actually with the first hour) of being able to pre-order, if they can't get me one when I'm that fast of the mark they can go spin.

Argos phoned and said sorry can't guarantee one before Christmas, but we will hang on to your money for you until we can get one :mad: Nice interest they will be making on my cash. They did sound a bit hopeful that they might be able to get one so will prob leave it a few weeks before I cancel

And I've just had an email saying that 2 of the games I have ordered haven't come into stock either so no games.

Nintendo have made a right balls of this.....and here was me thinking that was Sony's speciality LOL
