Well I have just called Argos about mine.
Complete waste of time!
I spoke to the rudest most abrupt person in the world who wouldn't
answer any questions and from her attitude may as well have told
me to sod off!
I feel a nasty letter coming on!

Just had a recorded message phone call from Argos saying that my Wii order will be delivered this Friday between 8 am & 9 pm. Guess I am one of the lucky ones - ordered mine on November 3rd.

Have just had same call from Argos, being delivered on Friday or if I'm not here Saturday...hoorah.:T

Seconds after typing the above, the phone rang.
Automated call saying that following my letter ... etc etc
I never got the letter as they don't have my full address so I called the
number mentioned and this time got a very helpful lady who will ensure
that a note is left for the driver giving him my full address.
Fingers crossed!

not sure if this has been mentioned back through the thread...

just phoned PC World about my pre-order, a nice lady told me that any orders placed before 9th November will get the first batch, any after will get a phonecall or letter next week about delivery of theirs.

i ordered mine on the 14th thanks to a F*** up by hmv :mad:

I ordered from PC World on October 20th and got this email today...

This is to confirm that we are starting to process your order. When we are able to confirm your order we will send you a third email, which will also confirm dispatch of the goods.

I pre-ordered my Wii at PC World at the beginning of November so was one of the ones meant to get it delivered on launch day. After reading some poor reviews about Red Steel after it had been released in the US I decided I wanted to change the package.

After several emails and being held in a phone queue for ages I finally managed to get through and speak to someone. No I couldn't just amend my order although the price was the same, Yes I would need to cancel the order and re-order, Yes I would lose my place in the queue and no longer be receiving it on launch day

I cancelled and re-ordered with Woolies as I didn't want to give PC World my money anymore as the guy was so snotty with me, now I doubt i'll get it on Friday as my status still says it's on back order. Not that it should be a problem as it's my boyfriends xmas present but of course i'll need to get it out the box and check it all works

Its a bloody postcode lottery, im not impressed! I ordered 23/10 and had a call today saying itll be at least a weeks delay! And now im reading about that people who ordered end of november will be getting it friday! What a farce!

Whats the point of getting in there first, apparently first come first served for GUARANTEED delivery on launch day, and not getting priority over some who ordered 4/5weeks later. Looks like there is infact...no point

I think what could be the problem with Argos and the consoles is that its down how many have been delivered to each Argos Direct Hub and more than likely that the hub(s) nearest the points of entry have the most consoles.

I always found that with their normal warehouses that stores serviced by Bridgwater DC (M5, Somerset) always had less stock or none than stores serviced by Basildon DC (A127, Essex).
