Like I've said, everyplace has different success/failure stories. I went into the Adsa Aintree at 8am, and there was no queue at all. There was one bloke in front of me who had walked in at the same time as me, and that was it. Maybe no one knew about them coming in.....
I had booked the morning off work to queue up because Iw as told that they might not be sorted from the delivery till 11am, and at 8am they had all ready sold over half of their stock levels. I managed to get into work for before 9 so I'm happy with that, especially as I need firday afternoon off for the works christmas party. But anyway, be wary of what staff tell you, because they don't want everyone turning up in the night because they have less staff on and can't cope with people sitting round.
wat did the bloke look like? i sat and watched them all sell out lol
  • Is Asda Huyton still waiting to get some in today?
  • I rand them this moring and they said keep ringing back all morning i was on the phone and they said all gone the gits
When i rang the first time this guy answered and said there is none in and they will only be getting some in jan which i knew was a load of s*** so i got the mrs to ring up and the woman on the phone said they were getting some in but they did'nt know how many

  • Yeah, I stopped by last night and the guy behind the counter said he'd heard 'rumours' of 5 coming in today but told me to ring in the morning.

has anyone had any luck with gamestation?

I preordered on the 27th november (after cancelling with woolies as they wouldn't switch my order to home delivery) and they state on their website that all wii orders before the 29th november will get one before xmas, my order status is "processing" BUT they don't respond to emails, not even with a standard "your email has been recieved" blah de blah. And my dp ordered a nintendo ds form them on december 2nd, it was showing in stock when he ordered - still not here, he rang them up and they said they were waiting for stock!

I pre-ordered with Gamestation and got mine last week, mind you I did sign up when pre-orders were first being taken. Barnsley had 25 on the first day and a further order on Saturday.
  • my wii just arrived from woolworths, dispite it still saying ready for dispatch!

I got one today from Sutton Coldfield Asda. I started at Leicester where I was told they were getting some in but would not take preorders, this is standard for Asda. They said they wouldn`t sell them till 11am but when I got there they told me they sold them at 9.30am. Always check and hassel the staff about deliveries times!
I then found out from Leicester which other stores were getting deliveries. I then rang them and Sutton Coldfield where still waiting for theirs. I went there in person and as a dozen of us were queueing they got them off the lorry first and dished them out. They also had the delivery of accessoriesso remember to get the second controller from Wii Play.
THE MAIN LESSONS I'VE LEARNT TO GET A WII FROM ASDA

    1. PHONE AROUND AND SPEAK TO THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT. They are in the know most of the time. The staff are on your side as they don`t want people hanging around the store queuing up for hours. Knowledge is power!!

    2. BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL!

    3. NEVER GIVE UP!

    4. THEY DO NOT RESERVE THEM AND IT WAS ONE CONSOLE / CONTROLLER PER CUSTOMER

Best of Luck to you all!!!

oh forgot to mention that the saleswoman at leicester (fosse pk store) was confident that there would be a steady arrival of these consoles and to ring each morning, she told me to ring 1st thing thursday.
    Give blood - its free
  • Is there an echo in here?

I had a letter from Woolies earlier this week saying sorry for not providing my Wii. They put £20 of vouchers in the envelope.

I get home tonight and I have another letter. Says exactly the same thing with another £20 worth of vouchers!!

I managed to get the console from ASDA Walsall this morning so I now have £40 to spend aswell
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

£40 for the wait! I'd settle for that, aka FREE Zelda!

I ordered mine from HMV on 6-Dec-06 - guess I'm gonna have to wait for the new year! It is on 'special order' direct from supplier but the order is still open & can be cancelled.

Correct me if I am wrong but it seems that Asda are the only people with stock being delivered to and actually selling to customers ........ I haven't read all of this thread but recently it all seems to be ASDA ASDA ASDA with v. little mention of other firms!

COLINDALE is the only ASDA remotely close to me and even then that is too far!
