I can't possibly imagine 'what next'. In my lifetime the first iron I used was a flat iron heated up on the range, if I wanted to phone someone I walked to the box, put two pennies in the slot and pressed button B if there was no reply, listened to Radio Luxembourg - very exotic, and the washing had to go through the wringer !
Apart from the iron, I remember all the same things. I listened to Radio Luxembourg with a knitting needle pushed under the set as that improved the reception. I suppose that qualified as "old technology". It was probably dangerous too!" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

I remember 4 pennies in the box. But you could talk for ever then. Few people had phones at home, so my friend and I used to arrange a time, then ring from one phone box to another 8 miles away and natter all afternoon.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

The only sensible and welcome new technology would be the one that shifts me from here to the centre of Paris in a split second !.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
