Allied Carpets

Options
Hi

Bought some vinyl on 2 Aug from Milton Keynes branch. Due to collect following delivery expected on 9th.
Received letter today saying store is closed from today (7th) and my order will be dealt by Aylesbury branch (20 miles away)
I rang to find out why I was not told when ordering. They said that they did not know until yesterday, but will be able to sort something out about my collection. - Not happy about potentialy hving the need to travel to Aylesbury.

Does anyone know if Allied Carpets are in trouble? or going into administration.

Thanks

Eric

Not looking good I'm afraid. Just done a company search, and they are indeed in administration.

Jul 2010 - Resolution to wind up
Jul 2010 - Voluntary appointment of liquidators
    Jul 2009 - Administrators appointed
    Oct 2006 - CCJ recorded
    Mar 2006 - CCJ recorded

In the last 3 months, 130 of their bills have gone unpaid. In the last 12 months, 189 of the bills have gone unpaid.

Looks like they are in a lot of trouble!

Personally, I would go now whilst they are still open. Ask for the item or a refund, before its too late!
  • I paid by credit card so i should be OK. Should never have taken my business with this pending.
  • I have spoken with them again and they say no the company is strong and are not winding up.

They will be co-locating with the Habitat store in the next few weeks hence the reason the store is closed. so I should have no worries.

We shall see, but a very strange affair: normally I would have expected a cross over to ensure no loss of business.

    Regards

    Eric
