There is such a thing as compassion. It would appear this lady has had a loss in her life and is trying to do the best she can, cut her some slack.

If you look back further in the thread I think you will find that the father is no longer with us.
I don't think that was what Arg was talking about.
Under the current rules any child support that a parent with care gets doesn't affect their benefits, so why should a NRP pay.....:silenced:

because a lot of NRP actually want to help support their children and want them to have the best start in life as possible, even if they aren't in a relationship with the other parent anymore.

However no one was aware of this until post #14, I'm pretty sure if people were aware of the situation in the opening post the responses would have been different.

:rotfl::rotfl:Looby so if this was the case there would be no reason to have the child support agency.

I think that the horror stories of NRP trying to avoid paying a penny towards their child/rens up keep are probably on par with the horror stories about single mothers only getting pg to get a council house and benefits.

It does happen, but not as often as the media would have you believe ;)

I don't think the OP is eligible as she did say "partner" in one of her posts so I'm assuming they weren't married?
