i am surprised my dogs arnt bald the amount of hairs they shed:eek:

I don't have any pets, but I saw something advertised on American TV that you may be able to get over here. It's a glove/mit thing for grooming that picks up all the loose hairs. They showed INSANE amounts of loose hair picked up by these things. I guess regular brushing would work, too, but this looks very easy and pleasant for the pet.

One reason I don't have a pet is the shedding thing. I'm squeamish about that sort of thing.

I read somewhere that having a good mat by the entrances will cut down on dirt tracked into the home, too. Unfortunately, the mat I bought for our most-used door is this straw/fiber thing that sheds like mad. I have started to pick it up and beat it against the side of the house to clean it more often, and I also lay it down with the back (less hairy) side up, so it's a little better. I wish I'd gotten something made of rubber/synthetic material.
