Hi PerfectPeaches - you have reminded me i need to update the photo in my driving licence...a wee while out of date.
I have to say to you that joining and being a regular on this site for last few weeks has really helped me get to grips with my stressful debts and money issues and I have got some really good advice and ideas from people, and I hope you too. I am under no illusion that I am up a creek with a tiny winy paddle but contributing and writing on here has been me a wee bot if sanity and amusement.

this thread has been amazing in making me realise how I'm working towards being DF every day (just need to get the men in the house to get fully on board! Explained to oh how leaving the fridge door open while he pours a glass of cider puts our electricity bill up - lets see if it does any good!!!) its also made me realise how I enjoy doing alot of this stuff.
Definately no 1 in helping me slay my debt so keep posting and borrowing MSE ideas xDF as at 30/12/16

Hi Redsam
Have to say that it is spurring me on more to be more frugal with everyday living.
Quite pleased as I've done my meal planner and managed to make nearly three weeks worth of meals from what we already have in the cupboards and what we bought yesterday. So thats around £30 per week on groceries :j and thats 3 weeks worth of meals I don't have to plan!! Will be nice going back home this coming weekend as I won't have to worry about cooking!!
Just to clarify I haven't been near the cat poop!! The cat litter has now been changed!!
Feel like I've had a pretty successful day of tidying, clearing and generally getting rid of rubbish!

Hey Peaches and others
I agree it making me be frugal too... having had a well aid job its easy to add to the debt, but at the moment i find myself without a job at the end of this month and have to pray I get supply whilst i look for and acheive a perm job and in the meantime have wopping payments...but in the midst if it all i realised i have lovely stuff i dont wear - in wont make my money back by selling on ebay but they will make someone happy and make me some space and all the extra pennied will either pay bill if i dont make enough cash froim supply or will be extra payments. I have realised i have been emensly stupid and i need to get myself out of a hole and its gonna take some time! Doest help I am getting married in April..so doing it cheap cheerful and fun..
I think peoples challenges and ideas are fab, but the best idea i have for anyone is grow your own veg and salad either on a allotment, in a window box or in pots in the garden, if no allotment plots available not matter how small look for a LandShare site near by. But growing cut and come again salad leaves - for £1 packet of seeds you get leaves for weeks/months...so much cheaper than buying in a shop! Thats a massive saving!!!
I am full of food growing saving tips if anyone wants any!
