Hello there
I have been living in NZ for 3 years - when I left UK I had 6 years No Claims Discount - I am now back in UK and am researching car insurance again! I would hate to lose the 6 years discount!
Does anybody know of insurance companies that honour NCD's from 3 years ago? (it seems the standard is 2 years so I lose my 6 years NCD!!!!!! http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/smilies/angry-smiley-030.gif
)
Thanks so much!

Just in case it would help anyone in a similar position, I have now solved my own problem and Asda came to the rescue!! They will honour NCD's for 3 years and the quote was VERY competitive compared to other insurers!
Hope that helps somebody!0 -

From my time working for an insurance broker (things may have changed) you are correct, NCB usually expires after 2 years. We did however have a couple of insurers available to us that would accept it for 3 years, and 1 for up to five depending on circumstances.
My understanding is that things are less flexible now (at least for brokers) as insurers want more of the business for themselves via direct routes.0 -
Tel No for Asda is 0845 300 7131
They offer a 10% discount for online but website form kept 'freezing' so I called instead and they honoured the quote as far as I got before the freeze!
They also offer voluntary excess of £80 if so desired
I hope this has helped someone and thanks to all the people who replied to my original post
