Hi
Can anyone advise if all welcome loans had PPI's, I had three loans with them and I am sure they all had insurance. However, Aviva insurance are saying that they don't. Unfortunately, I do not have paperwork as this was some time ago. Where can I get a copy of the agreements, does Welcome have to provide these?

Hi
I know of someone making a ppi reclaim via Welcome from 2003, and to what I know of Welcome were governed by GISC prior to the FSA.
I will try to double check on this, but if this is the case then Welcome did sell PPI alongide loans.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
It doesnt matter if most had PPI or not. The term most is not the same as all. It implies a majority but not a whole.
When did you clear the loans? Thats perhaps a more important date as it will let us know if agreements and paperwork are still likely to exist or not.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi there
Have you thought about requesting for your agreements, they cost £1 postal order or cheque payment, and you can request they supply by 12-14 days.
They may not supply these though if they are settled accounts, but you could try to request for a Subject Access Request (SAR), where they have 40 calendar days to comply and send all they hold on your account(s).
This one you enclose £10 cheque or postal order.
This is optional but can sometimes be of some help if you no details at all, if they are unable to supply, they should then send you a letter to explain and return your payment.

Welcome Finance were regulated end Feb 2003. I took out a loan with them 2 weeks prior to this! It most certainly was sold with PPI and Medicare Insurance.
I have had this complaint with the ombudsman since last year and it has been handed to an adjudicator now as the complaint has been moved over to Aviva who were the underwriters and known formerly as Norwich union.
Do pursue this especially the ones taken out after this date as they do pay out in my experience0 -
