I've just made some today as well & picked more blackberries. Yeah & then went to Tesco & bought a pineapple for 10p a punnet of peaches for 10p a net of organic lemons for 40p so will be doing something wonderful with all that as well.
This was on the way home from collecting a little chest freezer I received from Freecycle, a good day, a very good day.
May have to do some freezer jams as I only have a few jars left.

Where abouts in the country are those who have blackberries already? We're on the Devon/Dorset border and ours look a good couple of weeks off being ripe?

I'm in Wilts and the south facing ones are ready! The ones on other sides of the fields are no where near.

This site is full of recipes.

I just divided the recipes by how much fruit i had.

I am only a few miles away in sunny Wiltshire, but I think my advantage is that the brambles are growing on top of the shed roof, and yes dearest OH did need to use a ladder to get to them :).

Who would of thought 10 years ago that my saturday nights would be spent jam making!:j

I know what you mean... I am spending my saturday night preserving nectarine. I'm 30 and single for goodness sake! I should be out having fun, drinking dancing and kissing inappropriate men!

Wait a moment... is this what I am 30 and single?
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
