Good point.
What about courier delivery, as I use them quite a bit for my larger items, I don't get a physical receipt from them, would the tracking number be sufficient?
You should insist on a receipt. This is your CoP, to defend a fraud chargeback it is the only defence.

You need to keep it 6 months for paypal. A fraudulent use of a credit card claim can be chargebacked up to 6 months. Proof of posting is the way to defend this.
many tks for that info, usefult o know it can be that long - i'll be fishing some out the bin now!

Despatch Bay and P4D. Both via DHL. The first gives me online paperwork which is printed and the driver signs, the second, the driver turns up with 2 sheets, he signs both and hands me one, which has on the tracking details.0 -

DHL is rather unreliable around my area. Their deliveries and collections are done by 'agents' as the nearest depot is 150 miles away as they closed down my local one.
Have DHL not been taken over by HDNL in the UK?Young moneysaver in the making

That's a shame, our DHL is super.
My driver says they are becoming YODEL (spelling?) in the new year, but I understand there is a link btwn HDNL (who are dire here) and DHL, quite what it is I don't know.0
