    Very dissapointing.

Any momentum that was building up is now gone. Nothing is going to be reduced now. We need 6 months of falls , which we might get from now till christmas but the inevitbale has just been pushed back another 3 months down the line.

People will see these results and further enforce the view that their house is actually worth what they have it for sale at.

some classic statements from that thread... oh dear.... desperate much...
It is the same greedy people pricing out their own children and then complaining about having to do the BoM&D thing.
Meanwhile the VI's are going all out to try and push sentiment positive via the discourse environment in the media who report their 'press releases' without any critique or analysis. We should be doing the same (to influence sentiment to be negative about house prices) via Readers Comments on newspaper, etc. websites. We should be providing the critique and analysis that the media fail to provide.
I wouldn't be surprised if these figures were faked.

Bruce Spanner is a 50-60 year old guy - what a plank
It looks to me like there is a massive coordinated attempt by the various VIs to engineer a spring bounce by press releases and trolling popular Internet forums such as this.
    he's got some issues...

I was closely watching one of my target houses a few months ago to see what the actual sold price was when it hit the Land Registry. To my surprise the sold price was the initial asking price as listed on RightMove. Not even a token couple of grand negotiated off the price. I cannot compete with people like this mad.gif

As much as I enjoy this board, I have to admit that we're rubbish at predicting the future of the UK's economy. When it comes to predicting the house price crash, so far we were wrong in:
    2005
    2006
    2007
    2008
    2009
    2010

Anyone prediciting the crash for 2011 or 2012??
oh man, it's so depressing... sad.gif

there loads and there some real crackers:)

Whats happened is the house price debate over on mse?

its certainly gone very quiet carol, brit have gone underground, the housepicecrash forum are devistated, look at this post on their forum.

    http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=148569

we have a full 12 months of rises then a 0.5 prcent drop in june then a 0.6 percent rise in july and they start talking about stagnation.:D

what happened to all the talk about massive drops?

Even the ones who follow carol round thanking her have disapeared today, so have these so called house crash wishers threw the towel in?

I hope not, and if they have they should at least come back and post that they was wrong...

I suspect that view is enforced more by the fact that houses are actually selling for those prices.

A fact some of the bears seem incapable of understanding.
