you could try a uk vodafone sim card in it?
if it doesnt work with a uk voda sim it may need unlocking0 -
In fact the mobile model number is v603t and just to further clarify it is a sim less mobile.

There's an article that says that the phone operates on the [FONT=Verdana,Arial,helvetica]W-CDMA 2-GHz band. As to whether[/FONT] it'll work as a mobile phone in the UK, my guess would be 'no'.

Most Japanese networks are different systems. If visiting, it's possible to take and use a 3g (= WCDMA) phone over there, but I'm not sure how you'd be able to use this one here without a SIM.0
