When I plug a memory stick into the usb port on the Foxsat it says it's installed but then I get a message to say that it doesn't recognise it & for me to format on a pc to FAT3 or Fat16/32.
When I format them on the pc the only option is FAT32.
Help would be appreciated

I suspect that it means FAT32, there is no FAT3 as far as I am aware.0

Any idea as to why it's not working.!0 -

Yes formatted to FAT320

Spoke to Humax, they said the memory stick should be FAT32 EXT3.
Can anyone tell me how to do this please0 -
EXT3 is usually used in Ubuntu (and other linux operating systems and is the default Filesystem for the HDR so you can ignore that for now!)
Best thing to do is empty the USB drive and use "Disk management" do delete the partition on the USB drive.
Then create a new Partition and give it a simple name for LABEL (i.e. USB4Gb if it's a 4Gb flash drive)
Format it to FAT32.
Then it should work.Laters

Thanks SOLitaire
I'll do what you suggest.0 -
I've deleted the partition on my flash drive but how do I make a new partition0
-
It should ask you if you wish to format it when you plug it in...
If this formatting does not work follow the steps below carefully:
Go to "start" and in the search box at the bottom type "disk management"
A list of items will pop up.
Look for "Control Panel" then look for "Create or Delete a partition" (or words to that effect) Click on it.
That should open "Disk Management"
***WARNING***
***BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS WINDOW***
You should see a list of drives (i.e. C:\,
\, blank) listed next to "Disk 0"
The one without a Drive letter should be your USB stick listed as: "Disk 1: Removable device"
Check to make sure it's listed as "Unallocated"
Then right click and select "new simple partition" and follow the wizard
Now try the USB in the FoxSat HDR.Laters

Hi SOLitaire
I haven't got the command 'new simple partition'
Have you got the Foxsat, if you have do you use a flash drive & if so which one.
I've been told that my flash drives are no good.
