This feels like I'm kicking the OP when he's down, and I apologise, but my new 2004 Fiesta 1.4L TDCi Zetec 5-door, which emits just 116g/Km of CO2, is in VED Band C, which has just gone down from £35 to £30 per year.
With inflation at 4.5% and the best savings rate at 3%, now might be a good time to invest in a small diesel car, and get a return in the form of lower car tax and maybe insurance.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
