Car Tax
I have a Ford Fiesta Van 1.4 TDCI registered in 2005 which I use for commuting only, I am currently paying £200 per year car tax, can anyone tell me if this is correct as I think that I am paying too much, I telephoned DVLA but they were not much help. Any advice would be welcome!

Go and get your registration document and have a look what amount of carbon dioxide it pumps out. The DVLA website has the tax bands.

A Fiesta 1.4 diesel is surely only Band D.
Although if you're driving a van it's probably classed as a light-goods vehicle in which case £200 is correct if you scroll further down the page.

That does seem a bit high.0

Apparently it's spot on for a light-goods vehicle.Gordon_Hose wrote: »That does seem a bit high.0 -

There was a thread on here some time ago and the op had much less hair and aged about 10 years by the end of it
http://www.ukmotorhomes.net/motorhome-road-tax.shtml refers to a very similar subject
If it is registered as a car at 154 then the tax should be £155 but if registered as a van then according to the link above you are stuck with £200 as once a van always a van.0 -
its correct for the 1.4tdci VAN (its commercial.. may i suggest a 100% tint on the rear 3 windows on the 3 door tdci and remover rear seats and yse the car as a van )
but if you have the 1.4tdci car then its £35 per yearSealed pot challenger # 10
