No fault claim query + Renewal car insurance due while claim pending, can still swap?

Rang Churchill today to check the status of the claim and this particular lady seemed more efficient and actually made the effort to contact the third party insurers. She then rang me back to say that they had admitted fault but the insurance company had not bothered to inform them so thats good news. She said daughter could go ahead and get the work done at the vw garage she chose but perhaps its better to wait for this in writing.
Her insurance is due for renewal on 6th Sept so I'm hoping they will now reduce the premium as she is not at fault, they wont expect her to pay it until they recover the money will they?
Still trying to find out if the vw polo is classed as an import, it was made in germany as all the vw polos are but when looking fior insurance they want to know if its not an import, an import with uk specs or an import without uk specs. Anyone have any idea how to find this out please?
Edit
Decided to ring the vw garage that daughter bought car from and they said they don't sell any imports so it is definitely not an imported car. Bit confusing as it was made in germany, not sure how they work it out but they said its not anywayThanx
