I think I might have been caught doing about 36 in a 30, should know in due course, but the problem is I didn't know I was in a 30 zone as I didn't see the sign, went back the way I came and discovered the sign hidden behind branches of trees and the sign had been twisted around so it wasn't facing me as I came to it, the problem is there was a sign on the other side of the road and a 30 on the road, but there is a junction opposite the sign that a couple of cars were turning at the time, this is an extremely busy road and I honestly didn't see the sign. What would be my chances of appealing this if it came to it ? I have images of the sign and road.
Take pictures of the sign, if the sign on your side is twisted/hidden by overgrown bushes and possible to be missed there may be a case, but probably more unlikely.0 -

There were 3 signs, one each side of the road, one on the road itself.
I would say no chance.0 -

Never thought you did, and It wasn't intended as a dig at you.
I was actually saying we probably all take a chance and commit the odd motoring infringement, not just you, we all have to be prepared to pay if we break the rules, intensionally or otherwise;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

A 30 limit doesn't necessarily need any signs at all if there are streetlights no more than 200m apart0 -
I think the streetlight distance has gone now (or so they told me on my Speed Awareness Course)
I don't think people could understand how far away each light had to be so all it says now is "street lighting with regular spacing"0 -

IIRC they only count for insurance purposes for 3 years as well, unless things have changed, it's 20 years since I had any points.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
