Logging on

Forgive me for being so stoopid !
When u boot up a pc it comes up with a log in screen - asking for the user name and a password

I know I have not set any password but for some reason it will not allow me to log on, how do I get round this ? any ideas ?

I have always just pressed enter at this stage and been able to log on. i have asked colleagues if they have set a password but they all deny it !

Is this a work PC, and are you logging onto a domain, if so, then the domain password will need to be reset.

it is a work pc yes

but they all connect via citrxi to a central server

do they have a username, password, and domain box, or just a username and password.

Don't you have an IT support section to hack the password for you?

I assume you checked that numlock and caps lock aren't on?
