Dont you mean to say ~ why are all microsofts programs full of holes?0
-
The reason why microsoft programs have the most known exploit holes it due to the fact that they are the most used programs or OS(s) in the world. Almost every company in the world uses windows, therefore hacker have the tendancy to hack windows or exploit the vulnerabilites of windows more than any other OS
That's far too simple a view.
One reason that Windows-based systems have until recently been more vulnerable than others is that MS chose a weak security architecture, which meant that most users would by default be running everything with higher privileges than they needed.
Another is that until recently, MS is reputed to have had a software development culture that did not check for nor adequately punish poor coding practices at the code review stage.
Then there is the fact that MS actively encouraged the embedding of parts of some applications (e.g. IE) within the OS, in order to gain a competitive advantage. The result was that any compromise of that application could do more damage than if it had been totally self-contained.
Yes, there is more of it out there to attack, but it's also a weaker target than almost anything else.0 -
nothing yet - I hope I haven't wasted all that money on the "welcome record M$ security fixes" banners and party balloons that I had printed.....0

Glad to say all installed- no problems.0

Installed on 3 machines no problem. I actually had 17 updates, not 14 and all were fully up to date before the latest releases.0

You are very brave people installing Microsoft updates as soon as available !
I prefer to wait at least a week for any errors and conflicts to become apparent, its saved my bacon and a lot of hard work a few times in the past.
Microsoft patches have a habit of screwing up your PC on first release but lucky for Mr Gates there are lots of very clever people out there to rectify his cockups for free .
