Iphone 4, 3gs unlocking help

Right i currently have an iphone 3gs on 02 on an 18 month contract 4 months in. My wife is on "3" and is due an upgrade. She would be happy to have my iphone 3gs and get an iphone 4 for me bless her. Is this possible? Is it as simple as unlocking both phones and then swapping sims? Im abit green to all this.

Three will provide your wife with a micro sim. You will need an adaptor to use it in the 3GS, but these are about £1.50 (inc p&p) from eBay. Your sim from your O2 contract will not fit in the iPhone 4. O2 will usually provide you with a new sim if you show them your iPhone 4 and there are instructions on their website for how to move your number and contract on to the new sim. They may also, if you speek nicely to them, help you unlock your iPhone 3GS for your wife to use. The cost of this is usually somewhere around £10.

I got a micro sim adaptor with my iphone 4 from orange so you may not need one.

A micro sim isnt an all new thing its just a cut down standard sim so if you watch a vid on you tube u can cut it using a free template. Although getting a micro sim form o2 would be easier i have heard mixed reports about there availability.
