You need to search for auction rooms general household and your location - and you need to visit first to see what goes on and to get comfortable with the place - when you are ready to go to bid, view before the auction, make a list of what you are interested in and what the max is you want to pay - and stick to it!!

At most auctions you have to register before you bid so check this out, and just watch what others do

Handy - glad your MiL is sort of settling into the home but, though it's hard, Mrs H must step back and let the home get on with looking after her Ma - I know that is hard and I would have the same problem, but it is the right thing to do - I suppose it's a case of what is best for MiL rather than best for Mrs H - gosh that sounds very harsh but I'm sure that you know what I mean

Well I'm off to bed now so night night all - see you all in the morning

How is work going Nicca - fully adjusted to it yet?

I'm actually quite enjoying it. But boy it doesn't half get in the way! And it's only going to get worse as I start a postgrad certificate course in October

So that and the inevitable major cuts/changes in NHS services in the next wee whiles means I best hang onto that enjoyment while I still can ;)

I'm having problems with me keyboard this morning.
It works fine only I can't reach it properly. Shadow the feral cat
(that was) has learned a new trick. Sitting on my lap while I'm on me puter. Trouble is I'm still in my dressing down and them claws are sharp :eek::eek::eek: (Says handy in a falsetto voice).:rotfl:

Another cup of coffee then get ready for work.
    Cheers, handy.:D

Handy, I thought you only ever wore your overalls as per your avi. You've totally ruined my mental image now :p.

I forgot to say, Little Miss Labradorable is a greedy wee munchkin and will do anything for food! Mum assures me she is now out of cute puppy phase and into adolescent bolshy phase. Just in time for me to be going home to puppy-sit while they head off for a cruise! (I'm not sure I'll be able to break the code into Dad's computer (he tripple passwords everything and gives you only cryptic clues when you want onto the computer yourself) so I may not be able to post next week, but I'll take some piccies!) I'm to take her to puppy-training class too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: What's the bets we both get kicked out for either bad behaviour, or - more likely - dippy behaviour!

3Dogs - get yourself a dozen or so cabinets and you'll have yourself a lovely wee bungalow extension at a fraction of the cost. :D

Geebee - how were the clouds where you are today? :j:j Today I had candy floss fluffy clouds and was trying to make lots of things out of them. Mostly I could only think of care bears though :o

3Dogs... Thanks for the advice Re the auctions. In all honesty, there is absolutely nothing i need, it would be fun to go but i also know it would be lethal. I would get too carried away. In general i'm very disciplined but shopping is my one weakness that i cant get a hold of. I struggle daily with it. :( Its not such a problem that i spend what i haven't got, if i dont have the money i save or do without, but i would really like to stop spending so much money on things that i dont need. Grocery shopping is a ridiculous expense for me. I spend more in a week than most here spend in a month, clothes are another biggy too. I started Spoon's no spend days and did well, but for the last two months, for one reason or another, i didnt psyche myself up for ir before, and when i was ready to join in, we were a few days into the month. I think July, i had taken a last minute break away and August saw me in bed at the beginning of the month for a couple of days, not well.
Wow!.. that was a long bit wasn't it?. i dont usually speak so candidly!!. :o

Handy...I'm starting to worry about you, you were obsessed with chains and padlocks last night, is there something you'd like to share with us??.

Nicca... The clouds yesterday were just one very large 'grey' covering the whole sky, looks the same today. If i have to pick something out, i'd say it's like a sheet of dirty white paper!.
Care bears would be cool to see. Today i think i'll imagine beautiful things in my sky, i usually do! ;)
The puppy training should be fun!... have you seen the film 'Marley and Me?' you really must!. I'm not a big TV fan (in fact i generally loathe TV) but i've sat through that film about 4 times now and still enjoy it so much.

Spooooon!!... Now i am worried, you didnt show up last night at all, not even on NSD, hope you're ok. :)

Hope everyone else has a great day ahead. :)
