    Anyway, onwards and upwards, I'd like to invite you all to my birthday party in January, it'll be in Leeds but it'll be done on the cheap - bring your own drink and a contribution to the food, there's going to be a live band and a lot of other DFW'ers will be there. No-one has to decide straight away but I thought I'd put it out there now so there's time to save up/think about it.
    Ooh definitely, count me in.:D
    A real propper DFW meet:D:j:j:j:j:j
    we haven't had one in ages :o:(
    Never been to a DFW meet before.:o

    Hey Swany are you up to the Yorkshire Beer, I suggest we start of with a pint or two of Old Peculiar? :eek::eek::eek: Then we can move on to Riggwelter. If we can find a pub doing Barnsley Beer, they do a luvly drop of stuff called, Get Thi Coat, Tha's Pulled.

    If you don't fancy any of the above, then you can allways get a nice pint of Tetleys.:D:D

    Big plus It will be cheaper than Ipswitch.:T:

    Cheers, handy.

    Not Bad, I used to spend a lot of time in East Anglia, I've old mates in Ipswitch, so I've supped a fair few Greene King's. Down here most of the pubs are owned by a local brewery. Some good real ales, but 2.80 to 3.20 per pint. Thats why I stick ti the 1.50 LBD or 3.00 a gallon scrump:eek::eek::eek: Its not bad after a while, you get used to drinking it through clenched teeth to sieve the bits out:eek:
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Just kidding.

    Hope to join you all in Leeds, family matters and finance permitting.

  • It's about time Handy gave you an update on Mrs Handy and MIL.
    Mrs handy has been chasing the local SS office for confirmation of funding and to check that MILs place is permanent for over a week. She was advised as was I when my mum went into a home, not to give up the home for 6 weeks until she was settled. Yesterday a Manager from MIl's housing association came round and told Mrs H 2 weeks full rent was owing and she had to close Mil's bungalow down by Sunday this week or another week would be owed. The home is a permanent place, nothing to do with SS as funding is from NHS.

    Now why couldn't someone have said this 2 weeks ago.
    I won't go into what's happening up North, needless to say I have Blown my top. Mrs H is working 22 hours a day to close the bungalow down, her brother and one of the stepsons are Helping (not). everyone has taken what they want and left Mrs H with the !!!!!! to clear up. Granson L who borrowed £600 from his nan for key money last year (still to repay) said he would organise a skip, took what furniture he wanted and the P'd off to Wales on an offroading holiday without doing a so@@ing thing.

    Families who would have them. I just hope that when they want something again they will get it. :mad::mad::mad:

    I feel so helpless stuck down here. Mrs H won't say Sod hall to them, If I do I get it in the neck. Well that's a risk I am willing to take, The whole lot are a waste of Oxygen!

    Sorry for another handy rant. Normal service now resumed.:D
