Hi dont want to be the voice of doom but think you could end up in a charge back situation ( people can always find or make somthing wrong with lappies!!) if you ''make'' him buy it and loose postage and fees - personally I would take the £20 do a mutal concent via NPB to get your fees back and relsit for free0

hmm, how does that work? He pays me, i send the laptop, then he claims its not as described??blessings3 wrote:you could end up in a charge back situation0 -
Bingo!!!!!
Then sends it back broken or otherwise is refunded in full inc postage
Sometimes Paypal will ask for independent evaluation which is basically a letter on headed paper of a ''suitable'' expert0 -
I'd personally refund the buyer, if someone said to me their circumstances had changed i'd assume they could no longer afford the item and needed the money. i couldn't force someone to have something and take the money, you don't know what the circumstances are, the buyer could genuinely be in dire straights and need that money badly
maybe i'm a soft touch
but i'd sleep easier at nights
like others have said tho, i'd explain that your gonna wait for the echeque to clear before refunding, i'm sure the buyer will totally understand the need for this and just be grateful of your understanding of their circumstances.
I think the offer of £20 was a genuine one and would except that in goodwill
Cheeky, i did think you where a nice guy till i read this

It gets worse, i got a really crap price for the laptop 2nd time around, £260. Cancelling his original bid, it would of gone for £325 - thats £65 more!! His £20 seems poor now. So i have sent him a email saying he either pays the difference or the laptop is his.... I am not going to be £45 out of pocket and be a nice guy - got mouth's to feed!Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

You could have done a 2nd chance offer instead of relisting it.We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0
