Just wondered if anyone knew of any reasonably priced ( preferably less than £150 ) smartphones on PAYG on the market? Im not worried about which network.. i only top up £15 every couple of months so dont really want to go on contract. I have seen that o2 now have the HTC smart on PAYG for £100.. but some reviews say that this isnt really a true smartphone as it doesnt have wifi or GPS. I really like the look of this though.. so does anyone have any experience of this phone? or any alternatives would be appreciated!
I was thinking of getting a second hand one or refurbished one from ebay, but dont know if i want to risk being ripped off etc with a dodgy phone!!
Thanks
Rebecca

If you want unlimited internet (data) you'd have to top up every month by 10 to 15 quid (depending on network) as the bundle only lasts a month. You might want to factor that in ??0

1. Samsung Galaxy Apollo £149 from Orange (Android)
2. LG Optimus GT540 £119 from O2(Android)
3. Motorola Dext £149 from Orange (Android)
4. Samsung Omnia Lite £149 from Very/MarshallWard (WindowMobile)
5. HTC Hero (refurb) £159 from Three (Android)
6. Nokia 5230 £79.99 from Argos (Symbian)
There are a few sub £100 android phones from T-Mobile (Pulse Mini) & 3 (ZTE racer), if they take your fancy.

(or 25 MB on any one day for 35p, charged automatically from your top ups, this might even suffice for light usage)0 -

If you can stretch your budget a bit, the Xperia X10 Mini is available from Very for £179 (clicky) or direct from O2 for £1 more (clicky).
Have you heard about Cashback sites? Here's a link to the article on MSE (clicky) that explains all about them. Quidco are offering 10% off and 8% cashback (£17.90 off and £12.88 cashback) but O2 will only give you £3.50. The net cost of the phone from Very would be:
£179.00 - £17.90 up front = £161.10
8% cashback................. = £ 12.88-
£5 fee for Quidco ............= £ 5.00+
