Sky Sports offers?

Hi.

I'm a Sky variety Pack and HD subscriber. I did have Sky Sports but cancelled for the summer months. Now with the pending football season I wish to re-subscribe to the Sky Sports channels.

Any one know of any offers or deals when contacting Sky?

I called Sky on Monday and managed to get Sports at half price for 12 months (not ESPN).

I probably could have haggled a bit more but was happy enough with only paying ~ £9 a month for the next 12 months

I'd settle for that too. Had you subscribed before to Sky Sports or are you a newcomer?

I was in the same position as yourself. A Sky Sports/HD/variety pack subscriber who cancelled the sports at the end of the football season. I had a letter from Sky through the post this morning offering half price Sports and/or Movies for 3 months. I rang them up and got it sorted, so i'll be paying £10 per month for the full sports pack instead of the normal £20. I was going to renew anyway now the season is starting so it saves me £30.

There was no special code to quote with the offer, just your Sky customer number.

Its worth a call but beware that customer records are noted with who has been sent the offer so if you havnt been sent the offer personally they will probably not give it.

I joined sky recently and ordered sports package 1 and not long after i got a letter offering me the other sports package (not espn ) for free for 3 months , when I phoned up to accept the offer which I didnt have to do they offered to extend the offer for another 3 months so got the second sports package free for 6 months , just need to remember to cancel at the end of the 6 months:)

Have just got off the phone with Sky - told them they called my house when I wasn't in, they'd offered the £10 for 3 months deal to my partner, and I was calling to follow it through. They didn't even ask questions.... absolute deal.

Thanks to the people above for this one, and although many people around call it 'blagging' or 'unfair,' I prefer to think about all the unreasonable amounts of money Sky have taken off me over the years, and will happily defend this outrageous blag to the ends. They must owe me by now. ;)
