Dont really see any rude posts. Although i do see a few made in a flippant/joking manner.
I wouldnt necessarily say they are uncalled for either. Maybe not constructive in helping the OP but hey, if it helps lighten the mood or makes someones bad day better, i dont personally see the problem. You keep using that word. I said most women. I also made fun of the stereotypical male driver...........seriously...........lighten up.
No need for the attitude, its not my fault you didnt see the humour in it. If i was poking fun at anyone it would probably most likely be the people who dont think parking sensors are required...........if you reread my post perhaps you'll see i was hinting that although we never used to have them......there are several things we never had either that now make driving easier and enable more people to do so.
I'm not saying everyone needs parking sensors either, just that they help some people who would struggle/wouldnt be able to park without them. Just as PAS helps those who arent built like a tank turn the steering wheel :rotfl:
And for the record, i can park in the tightest of spaces no matter what i'm driving - without sensors. Most (again i say most = not all) women drivers i know personally wont even drive on a motorway and are literally terrified when behind the wheel - hence my comment about acting like it will bite them.
Why on earth are people so quick to jump on others on this site? =/You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

That being said, i am one of the most sexist drivers ever. I am female yet i openly admit that most women cant drive, let alone park. Women tend to drive like they're afraid the car will bite them. Where men tend to drive like utter loonies and think they're driving in a dodgem :rotfl:
Of course back in the old days there was no PAS to help, you could be driving a mini and feel like it weighed the same as a double decker
Neither did you have anti-locking breaks, air con, cd players etc etc.
In fact, lets all go back to the old old cars that you had to crank in order to get them started :rotfl:
Ohhh that made me smileI drove a Morris Minor up until a few years ago, and crank started on occasion lol

Anyone remember the days when people could just park their cars using their own judgement alone?
OP is female and drives a Kings Road Tractor. Had the same yesterday at the Punters Palace at Cribbs in Bristol. Nice tart in a suped up car trying like mad to park the thing, in, out, in, out like a !!!!!s drawers.
Me, one swift manoeuvre and reversed in on a tanner.
Another comfort device for those who cannot drive.

friend of mine threatened to sue Jaguar after reversing their car into a skip. The angle of the skip's side meant the top had bu99ered up the bootlid before the bumper was anywhere near the thing.
They argued the parking sensors were faulty. Jaguar pointed out that my friend shouldn't have been relying on them, especially as the skip was parked on his own drive!!! :rotfl:I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

I'm quite a capable driver it just makes it easier to see small children instead of me mowing them down. It's more of a saftey feature than a parking aid0
