    Afternoon all.

Anyone seen my get up and go? I think it got up and went while I wasn't looking!:D

Washing done and dried - just brought it in - and bedroom dusted and spiders evicted, and now I've run out of steam.:(

I need to cook some Quorn sausages in a bit, as it's sausage salad for dins tonight, and the 2nd half of the blueberry fool I made yesterday for pud.

Mr LW is on 24 hour per day on-call for a week starting at 06:00 tomorrow, so we can't go anywhere much all next week; we can go out, but he has to have the w*rk mobile (aka the Wand of Fear:D) with him at all times, and be able to be at his laptop w*rking within an hour of getting a call. Darned nuisance, but it goes with the job.

    Hope everyone's having a good day.:o

That would be my H's Blackberry. Annoying thing is it's not such much it ringing but the emails he constantly deals with, even on his days off  He just won't leave the ruddy thing alone. And if he's not using it for work then he's using it for FB.

Popped up Aldi's for some of the peppers and blueberries in the super 6 :D It's close to the local park so had to take the kids there for half an hour and then off to soft play. Which turned out to be a disaster, DD wouldn't stop crying and DS didn't like it because it was so busy :( Ended up paying £4 for about 40 mins so not very MSE. I don't think I'll bother going again until DS is back at school.

Just had an indoor picnic with the kids in the living room - DS loves picnics and it's a bit too cool to be sitting lounging outside so he's happily had his lunch on a blanket in the living room :)

Going to make some cupcakes I think this afternoon when DD goes for her nap, DS likes to help with the baking :)

Right off for a coffee (with some valium after this mornings stress ;))

    Afternoon all,

Very few awake and active today....Hester you are being really mean not passing on the name of that stuff you are on....I need double doses for a while to get going!

Windy and warm here, but cloudy so looks as if we will have some showers...DD2 has a mountain of washing on the line, she has gone with girls to visit a friend so have instructions to take in things she needs for to-morrow to make sure they dry.

DGSs both here, nice to have them around as don't see much of them in summer holidays, DD4 is taking them to park for a while in a bit so plan on hoovering the living room when they go, looks as if someone has emptied a skip in there, hopefully will be able to get it looking respectable. Dinner will be chicken breast and pork chops again....did them yesterday and when they all came home they had been to MacDonalds....was I mad, just stuck them in fridge and announced what that was to be for to-day!

Have been very disorganised since I have had visitors....seem to be running around all the time, getting nothing done, and going to bed too late...might try to whip myself into shape in a bit.

Took some walnuts from my brother's yesterday, he has loads. They are not ripe, two years ago he had a huge crop also, but none of them ripened so am going to try pickling this lot, got a recipe in a book by Darina Allen (Rachel's MIL) so am going to try that. Has anyone ever pickled walnuts? If so, would be grateful for any hints for success please.

Had porridge for breakfast but am hungry again (why? could live on my fat for months) so might have a cucumber and salad sandwich and a cuppa.

Back later no doubt, in the meantime have a good day all, and hugs to all in need or want.

It's the joys of not being at work for a few weeks, I have more energy as I'm used to spending 8 hours a day on my feet rushing from one machine to another.

    hi all,

Well i haven't shopping for two days and the freezer is steadily going down. Making macaroni cheese for tea tonight.
Well the cast if my leg and i'm free!
My knee cap is 50% healed, but i'm not chancing anything. So the boys have been told to amuse themselves till the weekend when OH is off.

I've started on the curtains so i'm keeping busy. then i'm going to make DS1's pair after that.

Just waiting for the dough to come out of the machine for the buns.
Its absolutely freezing here just dull grey and threatening to rain again.
DS1 has posted the rent for me, his idea, i nearly died when he said i'll go.

    Hiya folks,

I've just had a late lunch as I went for a jaunt to Wigan on the train, fairly MS as a bus daily saver to town is £4.10,but I can go to Wigan,or Manchester the other way,but not my nearest town, for £2.60 by train, and its only 10 mins as opposed to 30.Bought a few bits, most of them from P*undland,it seems better than the one in my town.I had a look at the CShops, bought a guide book on France for 79p,bargain,as we're having a few days in Nimes next month (Ryanair cheapie flight:) )
I went in TK Max,was looking at stuff, and felt a migraine coming on.I very rarely get one,but it affects my vision first,so paid for my new purse quick and headed straight to the chemists for painkillers and a bottle of water, then sat on a bench for a bit till they kicked in.Still a bit muzzy, but OK now.
I suppose I'd better sort my shopping out now,and see if the washing is dry.Bye for now.x
I am having leftover cottage pie for tea, lasagne for DH,turkey stk for DSons.

    Hello All!

Welcome back Lou. :D Bitsy watch that back!!!

We went to see toy Story3 last night at long last, it was amazing, loved every minute of it. There were a lot of adults and older couples in the cinema watching too which was nice, not just families enjoying a great film, lots of laughter and loads of tears from me at the end:o:D

Our news is that we are off to Legoland on Sunday! DH has to go back to Hull for the day, so we sill drive down there, he will do his thing and the boys and I will visit The Deep and do some shopping, then when he's done we'll drive darn saff and go to the hotel, so Monday and Tuesday at Legoland, Wednesday at Chessington and back home Wednesday night/Thursday morning. My lovely sister and niece are watching the dog. I had thought about asking LameWolf to take her, but I feel bad putting her in the car for so long, and she wouldn't cope in kennels at all with all the other dogs. So, yay!!! I don't know how my back will cope, but I will just take loads and loads of pills if I have to.

OS today has been non existent. We ate out (KFC yuck I had a salad) whilst shopping for school shoes. Can anyone tell me why my ten year old son is taking size six and a half shoes?????? No shoes to be had in the Clarks outlet shop, which means full price ones. Gran always buys their school shoes but I can't ask her to pay the full price, so I'll tell her the price of the outlet store's shoes, and put the rest to it myself. Dinner tonight will be quorn meatballs and pasta, and I have some muffins to make for my boys.

Hope everyone is well, hugs where needed.

    Afternoon all

I skived off work early today as I had a Dr's appt, but was in and out of Dr's within 15mins so home already ;). Work was good today, we spent the morning planning for next week (work kids last week) then this afternoon we headed to our log cabin in the park and played frisbee then cleaned the minibus! A hard day :rotfl:

I'm off out with ex-colleagues from my old job tonight. We are going to a very nice Chinese restaurant. I'm driving so should be under £20 spend. I'm picking up someone so he will get me a soft drink or 2 to say thanks.

I'm glad I'm home bit earlier as I need to sort out what I'm wearing tomorrow night - it's my boss's 2nd leaving do, and it's in Cardiff. We are going straight from work so need something I can change into very quickly, I'm normally a dress girl but no-one is wearing one so need to rummage for a top to go with jeans. I may well be MIA tomorrow, unless I can post before work.

    Have a good evening all
