Took car in for MOT on Tuesday , Reanault Laguna X reg 70,000 miles on clock (gen)
90 Mins later got call from garage "Car Ready " !
Collected and paid the bill ............... £50 :j

    Easy (Honda Civic first MOT)
    Lincoln Honda ..60 mins ..no charge at all
    When i bought the car off them at 6 months old they said as long as you own and bring the car here you wont ever pay for an MOT

    The MOT Station needs reporting to VOSA then, an MOT cannot be done ( legally ) in 25 minutes.;)

    March 2009, 1981 Triumph TR7, one hour, total cost including MOT £0.00 (Garage owner mate owed me a favour, and yes it passed)

    1995 vw polo 135k miles. Sailed through MOT last year with no problems. And like you I boasted about it.

    Sadly 6 months later the clutch and starter motor went, the gear box was showing signs of problems and there were a few minor problems like an electric window seizing and the back washer no longer working. The car was no longer reliable and got replaced.

    Moral of the story, don't speak to soon as you don't know what faults are developing
