US Iphone 3GS
Hi, over in states right now and Apple store selling these at $99. My son asked the guy if they would work over in UK and got told no as locked to network. Is this correct? I would have thought that they merely need unlocking the same as any network locked phone? Cheers.

From what I can see, the phone is $99 on a 2 year contract with AT&T
I got mine free on an 18 month contract from the Carphone Warehouse and the tariff still saved me £5 pcm on the previous contract I had:silenced:0 -
Yeah, having now researched it a bit more I can see that it is on a contract. I should not have taken my son's word for it that they were PAYG! Cheers0
