At least £100 usually £120 a week for 2 of us, I think its my tomato obsession, I spend at least £20 on those alone

Any scope to grow your own?

We are at the moment (planted back in Apr/May) and will have loads around the end of the month - might help you for a month or so :rotfl:

Have a food budget of £250 a month (£58 a week) for 2 adult and a 2 year old. We usually sneak about 3 bottles of wine a month into the food budget. This includes lunches. Shopping once a month at Asda online and then weekly shops at Aldi and a local fruit stall.

Our food budget has remained the same for 7 years despite increases in food costs (and a hungry child!) as we've learnt how to shop well.

Eating plenty of courgettes and mangetout from the garden at the moment. Chillies, Peppers and tomatoes to follow...This saves some money.

I really dont know? In the past when my wife was out of work (after graduating before we married) we spent very little as my wife cooked everything from scratch. We dont eat meat and in those days tinned tomatoes were pennies.

I'd say we spend at least £70 a week now, but that includes both our lunches, toileteries, wine etc. We also eat out once a week, so I guess you can double it?

We could reduce it, but there is little point as we have the money.

I am growing some but 1, they haven't turned red (in a grow bag on the patio) and 2, I like the "unusual" kinds like tomberrys which cost around £1 for a 250gm punnet and I can easily eat 3-4 a day :(

I limit our budget to £75 per week, for 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 cats, and normally 2 foreign exchange students that we have at any one time (we host, which is a good little earner!)

I shop usually in ALDI and SAINSBURYS for "BASICS" TEA BAGS AND MINCEMEAT,(oh and their garlic bread slices which are divine)

This amount includes toiletries, packed lunches but not alcohol usually.

Between £60 and £70 a week. 2 adults, 1 child, 1 cat. I could cut it down though, my cupboards are always full to the brim, l never know what l want to cook so l have lots of choice :D

l buy lots of bargains, when something's half price (and l KNOW it is rather than clever marketing) l buy lots of them to stock. I've currently got about 100 rolls of toilet paper, should last beyond Christmas :rotfl:

    Happy moneysaving all.

I have just done my first £50 shop, which is my new budget, quite a reduction from the usual £100-£110 but needs must, this forum has been great for help and advice, and finding out about special offers.

No idea what I spend for 2 adults and 2 teenagers but more than most I think! I do buy all the bargains and have full cupboards etc. We don't have much choice to do our shopping only Tesco and the Co-op anywhere near. I am going to make an effort to try Farmfoods, 30 miles away now that I have read everyones comments.
