Simple, easy to use mobile phones

I found a thread on the same topic:
forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=463228
But the thread is over 3 years old. I was wondering if there were any more recent innovations in this mobile market?
My dad has recently lost his last (10 year old) mobile phone and i've sorted him out on a new contract. He doesn't want internet and is still refusing to learn to text. I was hoping to find him a cheap phone without too many features and with a nice user interface; it turns out buying a no-frills phone doesn't guarentee you a phone with a logical way of doing things...
Google searches have provided me with a website silverphone.co.uk which offers some phones by brands such as Doro and Amplicon. These seem to have handy features like sound amplification and big buttons but seem quite pricey for what I want (£60-130).
Can anyone offer me any further information or suggestions?
Many Thanks
James

I recently gave up using a Samsung Tocco Lite - it was too clever for me!
Instead I bought (mail order) a Binatone 'Speakeasy Mobile Plus' which does all I need and no more. Large buttons, speaker, text, large display, keypad lock, large visual ringer alert, three direct memories, strong vibration alert, extra loud ringer (adjustable), insert your own sim card and start calling.
Just right for basic needs.
£50.(plus post)
It was advertised in Radio Times Offers insert. Product TIM0011892. Customer services on Tel: 01634298185.0 -
Found this one to be very good. Bought it through Amazon.
