PAYG iPhone help

My son (who is 16 so can't get a contract) is just coming up to the end of his 12 months of free data on his PAYG iPhone 3GS.

What is his best/cheapest option now? He hardly makes any calls and seldom texts but does use data a fair amount.

    Port his number over to GiffGaff - free mobile internet for all customers 'till October. Calls and Texts are on a PAYG basis with calls at 8p per minute and texts at 4p per text. These are the cheapest rates in the UK.

    But then in 2 months time he'll be paying 50p+ per day for internet - so at least £15 per month!

    Ok, so he buys a £10 per month GoodyBag which, regardless of what other customers get, gives him 100 minutes, unlimited texts and that all-important unlimited internet. GiffGaff are good for this, as when they say unlimited, they really mean unlimited - no 'fair usage policy'.
