  • i personaly like and use !!!!!!, it works and is very cool and simple interface, they give 1GB free space but the nag is 10MB file size limit. XDrive does not seem to have that limit and space is 5 times more. I am not too keep on using the client from XDrive, web interface is fine for me. Lets see how long this lasts :)

.. Google have stated that it breaks their T&C and do not condone is use. It is also unsafe as those who don't know what they're doing can do damage easily to their machines. It has also been said to be VERY insecure.

    Hi

For Firefox users there's a similar setup to the viksoe Gmail Drive.
It's an extension called Gmail Space.
It lets you use your 2GB for file storage.
It works OK but this too breaks the Google T&C.
    This is the link though:-

    How about 25Gb's free?

  • I can't get Xdrive to upload anything without error messages :(

An alternative maybe www.Inbox.com - free 5Gb storage along with webmail, calendar, notes, photos. I've been using it for a while now and seems quite reliable. The upload tool that you can install seems to work, too.

Only concerns are that it tries to install lots of toolbars, plugins etc. into IE (not Firefox, though). Also, quite a few people out there seem to think that it is spyware (it's from Crawler.com), but I'm well protected and haven't had any problems.

The free service comes with restrictions like only download 1GB a month and maximum file size 25MB. Making the 25GB largely redundant.
