08000 5242640 keeps calling my GF's phone

Does anyone know who the above number belong to? Over the past few days she received many missed call from the number and are not answering them as she's abroad and gets charge for receiving calls.

I tried to google the number but couldn't find anything. Is it some kind of freephone number? I want to dial it and find out who they are, but if's not free, I wont.

It's a company called EUI ltd, trading as about five million other names.

It's a crappy call designed to get you to call them back.....don't bother.

Used to be know (still are?) as Admiral

  • Thanks for your reply, I thought it must be some sort of marketing scam call.

Will it cost to receive the missed calls? I just google up and read something about 08000 mumdad and they use this scam taking money from people for giving them missed calls.

I have now registered my gf's number on the TPS website.

No it won't cost you to receive the calls. It's not a scam just a marketing 'courtesy call' from either Admiral, Bell or Elephant insurance.
