sky pakages

hi hope this is the right place for this post, i'm after some advice .
we decided to get sky installed with broadband and phone line
the tv side was installed over 4 weeks ago ,but we are still waitting on them to switch over the phone and broadband .
we have phoned them a few times and been told that bt computers had crashed and they were having manualy process orders?
on the last phone call ,there was supposed to have been an bt engineer on tuesday ( 4 days ago) but we were not informed by either sky or bt anyone was supposed to come ,and anyway my wife was in all day and no one turned up .
thay have now said they need another week ,
if they keep giving us the run around on the phone and broadband can we cancel our whole sky package we wanted installed or are we stuck with the tv service ?

Sky are at the mercy of Openreach (just like any ISP is) when it comes to line installs.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The reason for this is as follows:

Your first payment is due 14 days after you go active..hence why you had a payment come out on 21/7. This is to cover your TV package from the date you were installed on 7/7/10 until 6/8/10...one full month.

Therefore, you have your next payment due on 6/8/10 to cover you through until 6/9/10 as you pay your subscription in advance.

It then carries on like this with your monthly payments being due on 6th of every month, to cover you through until the 6th of the following month and so on.

    Hope this helps.
