Netflights claim my booking was a mistake, what are my rights?

I recently booked a trip to Buenos Aires on netflights who were the cheapest (by about £70). Although I had a problem with processing my credit card at the final stage (which I put down to me being overseas at the moment, a problem I have encountered before) I received an electronic invoice which requested payment by 15 Aug. I sent an email asking how I should make payment and then also received an 'Electronic Ticket, Passenger Travel Document and Receipt' which I took in good faith to mean that my flights were assured and proceded to book a Spanish Language course in Buenos Aires. Responding to my earlier email Netflights have told me that this was a failed booking and no seats have been allocated to me!
So what are my rights? Having acted on there request on the invoice to make payment by 15th Aug I find that the 'Electronic Ticket' they have issued me is completely worthless, I dont have flights to get me to the course I have booked and similar alternative flights are now £400 more expensive! Should they have to honour there electronic ticket, provide other option at a similar cost or make up the difference in price? In hindsight I should have paid £70 extra and booked my tickets through expedia, though over a week later this isnt an option.
Your help is much appreciated.

Hi -
A couple of people have posted on here recently with similar Netflights problems. Search the forum to see how they got on.
Did Netflights take payment from your card?0 -
To be fair to Netflights, after the initial mess around and fob off I sent a formal email of complaint and they have now honoured their original quote and even found me an outbound flight that is a couple of hours shorter.
Thanks for you help.0
