I stubbed my toe on the coffee table this morning, can I sue IKEA...?0

RTA Induced Psychosis is indeed a serious mental health ailment, and sadly is becoming more common, I did read a scientific paper that stated the correlation of modern car head lining fabric and mystery vapours emitted on impact which may induce the syndrome. and depending how you score on the RTAIP scale you will qualify for a financial recompense for your suffering.
I wish you well on your road to the joys of a big fat insurance cheque, Ps the slobbering, drooling and shouting inappropriate words loudly side effects will clear up on death.0 -
If I could paraphrase the last post:
MSE Greedy Post Induced Psychosis is indeed a serious mental health ailment, and sadly is becoming more common, I did read a scientific paper that stated the correlation of modern PC screens and mystery drivel appearing thereon may induce the syndrome. and depending how you score on the greed scale you will qualify for a financial recompense for your suffering.
I wish you well on your road to the joys of a big fat insurance cheque, PS: the slobbering, drooling and typing of inappropriate statements will not clear up on going to another forum - BUT, at least then some other poor devil has to read it !0 -
Come on people im being serious.0

I'm fairly sure there is a direct correlation with the availability of no-win no-fee lawyers as well :whistle:"One thing that is different, and has changed here, is the self-absorption, not just greed. Everybody is in a hurry now and there is a 'the rules don't apply to me' sort of thing." - Bill Bryson0 -
Your post is a little confusing.
I believe that in principle psychological trauma as opposed to physical injury can be the subject of a compensation claim and award - subject to the usual rules of proof and causation (can the victim prove that they are suffering, and that it was caused by the RTA). Medical evidence is likely to be needed.
Every driver must be insured and I would expect their insurance policy to cover the compensation award, rather than the driver being expected to pay for it.
Of course, if the driver was not insured then they're facing a criminal prosecution as well as a big fat compensation award against them.0 -
And people wonder why the country has fallen into this pit of ridiculous compensation culture.
Mental/Psychological compensation? Good grief...

My Aunt had an accident many moons ago and later claimed that her confidence had been affected by the accident....a specialist confirmed that she was indeed a nervous driver.
However he wasn't aware of what she was like beforehand - and I think it would have been kind beforehand to call her nervous.2014 Target;
