Hello
Can anyone advise who is the best and cheapest broadband provider who doesn't tie you in to anything?
I would like to get sky broadband when it becomes available but need some sort of stop gap.
Any help appreciated
Cheers

You might consider taking a look at Freeola (Entanet) ... They currently have a special offer of 8meg ADSLMax + Free activation + 3gig cap on a 3-month trial contract at £9.99 (rising to £19.99) ..OR.. same deal + 30gig peak + 300gig offpeak at £14.99 (rising to £24.99).
IF you like the freeola deal (but's it's a mite too expensive for you) ... Then you COULD take out the cheap 3-month trial (which would save you £50 activation + £30 payments) ... The TOTAL 3-MONTH cost for this would be £30 for the 3-gig-cap ..OR.. £45 for the 330-gig-cap.
At the end of the 3-months, you could then MAC-migrate for FREE to somewhere like UKFSN (also Entanet) that offers the SAME "speeds+caps deals" at £16.50 & £19.99 (NO activation/migration fee) on a 1-month contract.
Alternatively, you could equally MAC-migrate for free to any other ISP IF there were a better deal around at the time.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
