Tescos Healthy Living museli tastes very good and at is reasonable value at £2.19 for 1kg (21.9p per 100g).

That's what I said, she could tell the difference but she thought the cheaper ones weren't as sickly as the Kelloggs.
Now it if was me, I would def choose the Kelloggs.0 -
Do they like Porridge? - big bags of value oats for 57p0

for me, Asda bran flakes are excellent and taste much better than Kelloggs, but for cornflakes it has to be Kelloggs, no cheap variety is the same. i have bought Asda choco hoops before, and although my hubby could tell the difference he still ate them! And Im sure they are 2 for £2, I could be wrong, havent bought any in a while (have just checked, yes they are 2 for £2). Asda also have Sugar Puffs and Kelloggs Frosties for £1 a box at the moment. If not, a good place at the moment is either Home Bargains or Netto, who have Toy Story 3 Chocolate Stars for £1 a boxYou're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0

One way to cut costs in the long haul is to make sure you're not piling bowls too high. Average portion is 35g (I think), but all too often you find that people pile twice that amount into a bowl, especially kids left unchecked. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

I find own-brand weetabix is great but their cornflakes go soggy. But mostly I have value/basics porridge or toast from reduced bread!0

sainsburys fruit and fibre is lovely better than kelloggs
Absolutely agree - I think there is more fruit in the Sainsburys version. We don't buy any branded cereals anymore - it has been a bit trial and error on the way (trying different supermarkets version of the same product) but now we buy:
Weetabix equivalent in Sainsburys/Tesco
Fruit and Fibre in Sainsburys
Bran flakes in Tesco
Shredded Wheat equivalent in Tesco/Morrisons (the only two supermarkets we've found so far that do these - anyone spotted any of the others doing them?)
Oats in any of the supermarkets
Oat crunchy in Sainsburys or TescoDFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
