Going on holiday, leaving car.

I'm off on my hollibobs to Weymouth for 2 weeks at the end of August and I've decided to trust in public transport rather than driving down. My car will be left in a secure, keyfob entry residential carpark which is outside.
I just wanna make sure my car doesn't pack in after being left to stand for 2 weeks so has anyone got any precautions I should take when I'm leaving my car?
I'm probably being a little over zealous, but I left it for 2 weeks over Xmas and I returned to find it with a broken suspension coil (yes, I know it was cold, snowy - not August conditions) and with it happening days before I was due to start back at work I could do without the stress, especially as I start a brand new job in September.
Any advice or comforting words that'll make me stop thinking my cars gonna blow up?
Ta.

Personally I'd just go on holiday and leave it. There's not much you can do, as in the grand scheme of things it's a short break, it's not like you'll be storing it for months.0

Don't want to depress you but at some point the other suspension coil will probably go - it did on mine
Leaving it for that short time it should be fine though.0 -

Yeah, I'm waiting for that to happen tbh. The car recently came through a service and MOT fine, but there's that niggling suspision that the other coil will break as well.
Thanks for the advice though, I knew I was being paranoid :whistle:0 -
Before going, give it a wash and put a blanket over it to keep it warm.
Maybe get a neighbour to go down and give it a drink every few days.0 -

it is probably unecessary, but don't leave it after using it to drive to the shops! Make sure the last time you drive it is a long enough to get everything nice and hot and the battery charged.
But it'll probably be fine if you do nothngUnless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -
maplins have some small solar panels on offer at present, Might help stop the battery going flat if the alarm is set.
2 weeks should be OK if the battery is decent.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I leave my car at the airport car park for 3 weeks at a time on many occasions, never any problem.0
