Ive just come back from Icmeler and have to say we took both Lira and sterling. I was surprised to see the prices in Sterling, Lira an Euros so generally you can pay with what you like!0

Do not, I repeat do not buy food or drink at Dalaman Airport unless you are absolutely desperate, when we arrived and got though passport control etc we wanted a drink, 2 cans of Coke and a small Tuborg (local) beer was the equivelant of nearly £16, needless to say we left them on the counter and walked away. Also beware, it is illegal to drink alcohol on the transfer coach, in Turkey it is illegal to consume alcoholic drinks in any vehicle, even if you are a passenger.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
We are going to Marmaris in a weeks time, never been to Turkey before so no idea as to prices etc. Can anyone give me an idea as to the price of fags & beer.
But with all the advice on the board will be taking sterling & a small amount of Turkish liraPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -

I don't know where you are based but make sure you have an english £10 note. We flew from glasgow and someone ahead of us seemed to be having trouble with the £10 visa. According to someone in the (very long) queue they only had scottish notes. Don't know if it was true or not but better to be safe than stuck at the airport!
ABSOLUTELY true. They will only accept English £10 notes at the airport. They won't give change of £20s and the notes have to be clean and not torn.
You can, btw, change Scottish notes in Marmaris at a little exchange place near the bazaar but the exchange rate is rubbish. Other than that, take a few Lira for the first day and use cash or Nationwide card. If you like TCs the supermarkets will take them in payment.0 -
