Ann Summers Refund... Not impressed.

Just a warning really.
I ordered some things in the sale on the 4th July, they arrived fine, paid by debit card.
Most of the items weren't suitable, so I sent them back the next day, keeping two of the items. Fair enough, presuming they would just refund my card in due course.
Almost forgot about it! When I remembered I check my account and no refund.? Sent off an email to enquire about it and no reply after 4 days, so I just called them.
Apparently a cheque (?) is in the post today for my refund.. I asked why a cheque? and why has it taken them a month to process my refund? She said it depends who does your refund.. lol.. right.. ok.. then she said I have to notify them that I am returning items within 7 days to get a card refund. Well I sent them the next day, so they must have got them within the 7 days.
Not sure why they have this process, it seems a complete waste of time, paper and postage. Not to mention that I now have to go to the post office to get my refund.
I just think that if I hadn't have called I would never have seen my refund.
Anyone else had any strange experiences like this with Ann Summers? It's kinda put me off buying from them if it takes 4+ weeks to sort out refunds for returns.

So stop buying stuff you don't want.
They're sex toys. How were they not "suitable"? Did they not fit? Were they too small? Or did your husband convince you that it's not an appropriate birthday present for your daughter?
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Brilliant, and as per usual completely and totally wrong.
Ann Summers sell underwear as well as sex toys. Underwear that probably didn't fit or was not suitable. And what has OP's Daughter got to do with it?
I imagine as you yourself appear to be a dildo its easy for you to get confused. Either that or you have been sniffing the poppers they sell.0 -
haha - thank you pulliptears, yes it was lingerie that didn't fit right.. lovely stuff, just odd fittings..9/70lbs to lose0

ytbh i think ann summers is mostly (you do get the odd one out sometimes) overpriced poor quality goods.
If you have a ann summers party, the rep gets 30% of whatever you spend. They basically sell everything to the reps at 70% of catalogue price.......it is quite easy to make £100-300 for just 2-4 hours work.
IMO theres only really one thing they sell thats worth the money :rotfl:You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

I purchased various items during the sale, four different orders in all. Some of the goods were returned, two complete orders were returned.
I got full refunds of goods + p&p directly back to my card.
The difference ? I followed the clearly laid down procedure in the T&C's on their website and which came with the goods.0 -

I know, I know the butt plugs."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
The cheque probably comes from an account with a horribly rude name and with a big picture of a vibrator on, hoping you won't go cash it in because of embarrassment (a la Lock Stock)0

I filled out the return paperwork that came with the item, and posted it off. I didn't occur to me that I would have to inform them of me returning anything, nor did it state anything on the form I was filling in.
Just seems a bit strange to me.
But, I will be getting a refund which is okay. It's just the fact that I had to chase them for it, and cheque or not, I still don't think that they would have refunded me had I not requested it.
Butt Plugs.. lol - I did say I kept part of my order..:rotfl:
